I don’t drink alcohol much these days. My tolerance is super low and my body hates me the day after. My days are pretty packed usually so I have to have my head on straight if I’m going to get stuff done.
That being said, I am so happy about the emergence of the “mocktail.” In LA at least, more and more restaurants are beginning to introduce separate menus of creative non-alcoholic drinks that go beyond the usual soda and lemonade.
It occurred to me recently that I could easily make some of these fun mocktails at home and not just wait to treat myself when we go out.

I came across this amazing recipe for a Coconut Rosewater Blackberry Smash by Colleen Jeffers and I knew I had to try to make a non-boozy version of it. I gotta say, I’m really happy with the way it came out and it’s the perfect Summer drink. I would think it’s easily adaptable with any type of berry or fruit (I bet mango would be killer!) and herb.
Give it a try and let me know what you think!
